Famous lawyer says that the secular media ignores Brazilian cases of "Christianophobia"

In an article written for the Journal of Brazil, the lawyer Ives Gandra Martins da Silva said that the media ignores or gives little attention to the persecution of Christians in Muslim-majority countries.
Building on an article written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, published in Newsweek, the jurist said that Brazil is a model country, to respect religious freedom and belief, "even those who deny all faiths."
Talking about the emphasis that the media gives the Brazilian cases of assaults on homosexuals, the lawyer complained that when they kill Christians in Islamic countries, the information is released quietly: "There is, however, that the news of this" Islamic Christianophobia "are unknown the country, with low notes of attacks against Christians in the major newspapers that circulate here. A homosexual is assaulted every Brazilian newspaper headline. Since the death of dozens of Christians, because of planned acts of violence as an expression of anti-Christian, is solemnly ignored by the press. "
The renowned jurist Ives Gandra da Silva Martins Ayaan says the article, noting the report that at least 24 Christians were killed in a church burned down in 2011 in Egypt, and Nigeria, on Christmas Day, dozens of Christians were murdered or wounded, and other cases of persecution.
Check out the full article "The Growth of Christianophobia", published in Brazil:
Ayaan Hirsi Ali published in Newsweek, 13 February, amply documented article about the war that the Islamic countries are unleashing against Christians, affecting their freedom of conscience, forbidding them to express their faith and murdering anyone who professes either individually or by attacks on churches or places where they gather.
Remember that at least 24 Christians were killed by the Egyptian army, on October 9, 2011, that, in Cairo on March 5 of that year, a church was burned, with many dead, that in Nigeria, on the day of Christmas of 2011, dozens of Christians were killed or wounded, and that in Pakistan, India and other countries of persecution against the Christian minority who believe in Christ has grown considerably. The author declares that "the terrorist attacks against Christians in Africa, Near East and Asia grew 309% from 2003 to 2010." He concludes his article by stating that, in the West, "rather than to create fanciful stories about an alleged" Islamophobia "should take a stand against the real" Christianophobia ", which begins to infest the Islamic world."Tolerance is for everyone except the intolerant."
Among the suggestions contained, the West is to condition their humanitarian, social and economic development that the tolerance for those who profess the Christian faith is also observed, as regards, in most Western countries the Islamic faith.
I understand that Brazil, in particular, a model country. We respect all faiths, including those who deny all faiths, because freedom of expression is entrenchment clause in our Constitution.
It occurs, however, that the news of this "Islamic Christianophobia" are unknown in the country, with low notes on attacks against Christians in the major newspapers that circulate here. A homosexual is assaulted every Brazilian newspaper headline. Since the death of dozens of Christians, because of planned acts of violence as an expression of anti-Christian, is solemnly ignored by the press.
When AH, in 622, Muhammad laid the Islamic movement, which led to the invasion of Europe in 711 with the intention of eliminating all infidels the prophet of Allah. Until his expulsion from Granada - I believe in 1492 - Muslims in Europe have been adjusting to living with Christians, and Arab and the philosophy of the Catholic 12th and 13th centuries converged, intriguingly.Philosophers of expression, as St. Thomas Aquinas, Bernard of Clairvaux, Abelard, Avicenna, Averroes, Alfa-rabi, demonstrated the possibility of coexistence between different faiths and cultures.
Unfortunately, what is considered outdated reappears in terrorist acts, which do not dignify human nature and separate the men, who should join in the search for a better world. I believe that the solution presented by Ayaan Hirsi Ali is the best way to combat prejudice, persecution and terrorist attacks, ie, conditional aid, even humanitarian, to respect all religious beliefs (or lack thereof) as a way of living peace among men. It is best to not incubate eggs of snakes, lavishing aid that could turn against the good.
