What ISIS Has Done In Iraq, Boko Haram Is Doing In Nigeria
9/16/2014 Nigeria (World Watch Monitor)
According to Reverend Samuel Dali, what ISIS has done in Iraq, Boko Haram is doing in Nigeria. Boko Haram has claimed Sharia Law in several northeastern states of Nigeria and there are reports they are surrounding the capital Maiduguri. Dr. Bitrus Pogu, a leader of Chibok, the Borno state where more than 200 girls, many Christian, were kidnapped in April, has said that Boko Haram is trying to deny President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian, a second term after Nigeria's 2015 elections by dividing the voters. - Pray that God will continue guiding Reverend Dali and all displaced Christians physically and spiritually to safety
- Pray that our Lord will bring deliverance and keep lifting the hearts of the still missing girls and their families

Waves of Anti-Christian Violence Continue in India Following Election of BJP
Violence against Christians is increasing since Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took power in India on May 26, with the first report being the beating and dragging of Christian men, women and children who wouldn't renounce Christ. In a recent report, according to the Evangelical Fellowship of India, a group of men forcefully entered the home of Shri Lal Khatiyan, calling him and his wife pagans as they beat them. Even walking down the street to fetch water from the public well is not allowed. "I will not leave Jesus even if they kill me," Sadanandan Singh reported to Morning Star News.
- Pray for the physical and spiritual healing of the persecuted Christians and their families in India
- Pray that God will continue to show His merciful and faithful love to His people, and that they will continue to stand in His name
- Pray that India will rise above intolerance and allow the peace of our Lord to fill their hearts

Two Pastors Face Prison in Bhutan for Christian Activities
9/15/2014 Bhutan (Worthy News)
A court in Bhutan sentenced Pastor Wangyal to four years in prison for accepting funds for evangelism and Pastor M.B. Tharpe to two and a half years for organizing an illegal religious gathering. "All this time they have denied that it was a faith-based arrest, but everything since day one has revolved around faith," said Pastor Tandin Wangyal. Wangyal and Tharpe have both paid fines, but only Tharpe was exempted from his sentence. Christians are reluctantly allowed to meet in homes or halls to worship as Bhutan has no church buildings.
- Pray that Bhutan will cease to persecute our brothers and sisters in Christ
- Pray that Pastor Wangyal will be swiftly and safely released
- Pray that churches will be built in Bhutan, and that Christians in Bhutan will never stop professing His name to the people.

Christians of Lebanon Keep Eye on ISIS Threat
Lebanese villages, a coexistence of Alawites, Christians and Muslims, along the Syrian border are arming their homes as fears of an ISIS invasion grows. It's not just Christians concerned, but Muslims in the area feel the threat since the beheading of Ali al-Sayyed, a Muslim soldier captured by ISIS. According to a local Muslim, "In their opinion, we're all infidels if we don't agree with them." One resident who chose to remain anonymous said: "I served in the Army for 30 years. I acquired a weapon today to defend my family, and to fight with honor for Lebanon's diversity."
- Pray that ISIS will fail sooner than later and no longer bring harm to any people or nation, and succeed in finding Christ as their Savior
- Pray for a peaceful coexistence, and that the Alawites and Muslims will see the Truth of Jesus Christ and become the children of God
- Pray for a revival of Jesus Christ throughout Lebanon and the Middle-East

North Korea Sentences American to 6 Years of Hard Labor
North Korea, with a religion of devotion to the ruling Kim family, has sentenced Matthew Miller to 6 years hard labor for "hostile acts" at the Pyongyang airport in April. According to Associated Press, during the trial, Miller said he tore up his tourist visa because he had a "wild ambition" to write about human rights in North Korea. Besides Miller, there are two Americans being held in North Korea; Jeffrey Fowle, arrested and awaiting trial for leaving his Bible at a hotel and Kenneth Bae, a missionary sentenced 15-year hard-labor for "hostile acts to bring down the government."

- Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of the Kim family and bring them to salvation
- Pray that North Korea will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be a light of peace and tolerance
